The menu at this cozy bakery tucked away in Orlando’s Milk District extends beyond confections, as Guy discovered when he stopped by on Triple D. Favorites include a chicken pot pie featuring a flaky, buttery crust stuffed with exquisitely seasoned chicken, mirepoix, potatoes and peas in a silky bechamel sauce. When it comes to dessert, there are plenty of decadent choices. One of the most indulgent options, however, is the Vanilla Bean Bourbon Bacon Moon Pie. “That is legit,” said Guy after sampling the sweet treat, which features silky homemade marshmallows laced with vanilla and bourbon.
After spending the past 12 months combing Greater Orlando for the finest food and drinks, remarkable retail shops, soothing spas and more, we’re ready to present our annual Best of the Best picks for 2017. Each year, we willingly take on this task in hopes that we’ll find new discoveries (we did) as well as reconnect with familiar favorites (ditto), all in an effort to showcase the many wonderful things Greater Orlando has to offer.
This quaint working Milk District bakery is open for breakfast, lunch and brunch with a manageable, fresh-made menu that changes near daily and makes choosing easy. Okay, that's arguable, since how one chooses between creative, handcrafted meatloaf sammies, beyond-cheesy grits and Florentine benedicts is subjective. Easiest method? Bring a friend and share everything!
